Events In Jamaica September 2017

Major September events in Jamaica such as a world cup qualifying match against Canada, a 5k Marathon for charity, Miss Global International Competition and celebrate world tourism day.

September is the beginning of a new school year, so you will notice fewer locals at attractions and events.

This is also the time to take advantage of cheap flights to Jamaica and low-priced hotels.

The weather is usually good but just remember that it is still rainy season so plan accordingly.

Jamaica vs Canada

When: September 2nd 

Where: BMO Field, Toronto

After a disappointing loss in the finals of the Gold Cup, Jamaica has a chance to redeem itself against a tough Canadian team.

We are expecting the same team that played tactical football in the Gold Cup to come out attacking.

Even though the match will be played in Canada, you can catch the action at a local hotel, restaurant, or bar in your area.

World Tourism Day showcases the importance of tourism to Jamaica and internationally.

Miss Global International Competition

Date: September 6th to 10th

Setting: RIU Montego Bay

This five-day event shines the spotlight on promoting tourism through a beauty contest.

All three RIU properties in Montego Bay will be offering discounted rates for the duration of the competition. All-inclusive evening passes are also available for from 6 pm to 1 am.

Forty contestants from all over the world will vie for the crown of Miss Global International .

Flow Puma Fortis 5k

When: September 1

Purpose: Development of education and sports at Kingston Collge High School

Duration: 3.1 miles

Race Starts: 6:15 am

This event will begin at Kingston College High School.

Runners and walkers of all ages are welcomed regardless of your experience level.     

Walk or run at your own pace. The ultimate goal is to raise funds for a worthy cause.
