Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica
Great service, excellent landscaping and a golf course are just three things that make Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica, a top choice for visitors to the island.
This all-inclusive resort boasts seven room categories, five restaurants, a water park, a children’s village, a spa, a golf course and many more amenities.
Hilton Rose Hall Jamaica is one of the gem hotels situated in Montego Bay.
Here is a review of my recent visit to this resort in early 2013.
The Hilton
Rose Hall hotel is the ideal size: not too miniature or too gigantic. I
guarantee that you won't get lost on this property.
Bring your kids along because there is a complete
children’s village with their very own play zone.
The Internet is available for a small fee in your room, but there is a lounge not far from the front desk that offers free Internet service, so you can check emails and communicate with your family and friends.
What I love about this hotel is the landscaping. Upon entering the hotel, you will quickly realize that this resort is very well kept.
The entrance to the main lobby has many long sofas to relax outside.
Rooms
I was anxious to view my room, after realising
how amazing the lobby area was.
When I swiped my room key card and entered my
room, I was stunned.
Not only was the room spotless but every single
amenity was included such as a hair dryer, coffee stand, iron, ironing board,
luggage racks, refrigerator, safety box, and a coffee stand.
So what about the view? Well, take a look for
yourself.
As you can
see, I had an awesome view of the ocean and the golf course.
My business trip was off to a very good start.
Restaurants
There are five restaurants to ensure that you have access to food right-around the clock.
I vacationed at Hilton Rose Hall hotelJamaica for two nights, and each night I dined at a different speciality restaurant.
Seaside Grill Restaurant opens daily for lunch but serves seafood
for dinner (reservations only).
I was pleased with the Island Fish Cakes for
Appetizer and the West Indian Curry Shrimp, with Jasmine rice and vegetables
for Entree.
Three Palm Restaurant is merely a shuttle ride (free), through a tunnel before reaching the destination. I had the pumpkin soup for appetizer and a grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes for my Entree.
Bars
The busy bartenders kept the
drinks flowing at the bars.
There are several bars and all are in close
proximity, so if you have a difficulty waiting, head over to another bar.
Remember to ask for the drink mix of the day.
Service
I don't like to visit hotels
at full occupancy but the Hilton resort changed my mind, for now.
My reason is that I find that I have to wait too
long for service because there are so many persons demanding service at the
same time.
Fortunately, Hilton found a way to have their
staff working efficiently and effectively for the weekend.
Water Sports
Even though the beach is clean and not as large as neighbouring resorts, there are a few water sports activities that you can take advantage of.
Glass-bottom boat ride, kayaking and snorkelling are just a small number of the well-liked activities.
Surprisingly, most guests spend their time in or around the water park.
Swim-up-bar and restaurants are close by which makes the water park the ideal place to loosen up and unwind.
Activities
Daily
resort activities include basketball, bingo, volleyball, trivia, air-burst
tattoos and crab races.
Orientation is carried out daily and is very
helpful in maneuvering your way around the property.
Entertainment
From daytime activities, to night time entertainment and disco dancing at the club, at Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica there is never a dull moment.
Pool volleyball, poolside game, beach volleyball, drinking contest, soccer match, tug-of-war, karaoke, concert, and dancing at the disco are just a few of the activities that will keep you entertained throughout your vacation.
Transportation
Transportation is readily available for arrival and departure from Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica.
The Sangster International Airport is less than ten minutes from the resort.
Complimentary bus service will take you to Rose Hall Plantation House and Shoppes of Rose Hall.
Free shuttle service is available to Margaritaville Montego Bay on selected nights. Check with the entertainment office for more details.
The cost for transportation to go off property is slightly pricey but the only reliable alternative is to rent a car.
Overall
Hilton Rose Hall Resort Jamaica surpassed my expectations of service, food quality, golf course and overall cleanliness.
Double Occupancy is about US$340 a night but remember children under twelve are free so take that family along.
