June is Jazz month in Jamaica, but the most important week will be that of June 8th to 16th. There will be over thirty jazz events in Ocho Rios, Trelawny, Montego Bay and Negril.
Local and international performers will take the stage from Jamaica, the Caribbean, Europe, Canada, and United States of America.
The purpose of this Jazz festival is to preserve and spread the classical black music around the world.

The Jamaican Diaspora is extremely important to the development of Jamaica. This year is their 5th biennial conference in Montego Bay, and should attract thousands of Jamaicans from all over the world.
The conference this year will focus on growth, partnership and development. This year you should anticipate a large number of attendees because the celebration falls within our 50th anniversary of independence.
The Jamaica Diaspora Conference will include forums, debates and keynote speeches.
